Hypocrisy of the Lutyens..

Yesterday the US reported 106000 Covid cases. This is the same number that was reached on the Election Day in the US and was the highest daily number till then. This was the only number discussed by the media on that day, now it is on some obscure government dashboard. Because aim was to dislodge Trump and that was achieved.

On 17th July the UK reported 53000 cases. Normalised to India’s population, the number is 10.34 lakh daily cases. But whereas now BBC only writes “India’s Covid catastrophe,” it happily remained silent on that day about the UK.

Similarly, even as Indian courts were issuing hourly suo moto notices to UP and the Central Govt during the second wave, they are totally silent as Kerala is reporting 50% of country’s cases after Eid lockdown relaxation. 

Fact is, the world never was, and is not, a just and fair place. Various authority figures, like media, courts, academia; are not truthful and honest. They are just a collection of human beings, and those human beings like all human beings have vices like dishonesty, corruption, greed, and readiness to sacrifice any virtue to serve their immediate self-interest. 

This is just to remind the mango people that false heroes are just as dangerous as false gods. Never outsource your thinking to media, academia, and the courts. Media is a source of information, but the task of processing that information is yours. And academia is there because we need degrees and certificates, facts are always learned through self-study of the great books. And their lordships are just a bunch of lawyers we appoint to adjudicate our disputes. They can not administer or run our lives. Be wary of the administrators in black coats. You won’t be able to defeat them in the next election, even if they completely mess up your life.
