When you dine at the Soneva Kiri resort in Thailand, you have the option of being treated to one of the most unique meals you’ll ever have at a restaurant. This resort has a Tree Pod Dining experience, where guests can take their meals in a woven pod, high off the ground. They take fine dining to new heights by letting you experience their fine cuisine in a beautiful canopy, surrounded by nature.
The woven pods are about 16 feet off of the ground, nestled in the tree canopy. They fit four diners and are lifted up by a set of winches.
Not only that, but the service is still great up in the trees. The wait staff are very attentive, even if they have to use zip lines to reach you.

This style of dining available at the Thai eco resort may not catch on elsewhere, so it’s worth the trip. The Soneva Kiri is an amazing “get away from it all” experience, with lush scenery and incredible spa treatments available. If you need to abandon your stressful life (and feel like dining in the treetops), you should plan a visit.
Or, just eat your next lunch in the neighbor kid’s treehouse.
